The barbecue area is located in the south-east sector of the San Joaquin campus and is used for recreational, academic and social activities by members of the UC Community.


It has 600 square meters, 2 equipped barbecue areas, tables with chairs, separate bathrooms for exclusive use and electricity. It is located in a green area that allows for entertaining and recreational activities.

Like all UC campuses, the quincho is a smoke-free zone, therefore it is non-smoking. Alcohol consumption is also not allowed.

The users of the barbecue can be members of Student Centers or other UC student organizations, Academic Units or UC Service. All users must belong to the UC Community.

Costs year 2022

  • For Student Centers or student organizations: $30,000 per day.
  • For Academic/Service Units: $60,000 per day.

Hours of use

Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Reservation method

If you wish to use the barbecue area, you must make a reservation in advance by writing to wavalenzuela@uc.cl. In this mail you must detail the applicant’s data: Name; UC profile (student, teacher, official); academic unit or UC service unit to which he/she belongs and UC mail; date and time he/she wishes to use the barbecue area; description of the activity to be carried out; reservation period.

This request must be made at least 5 days prior to the day of the activity.

Important

The use of the barbecue area is subject to possible suspensions due to weather conditions, academic or other activities that require the use of the space. The above will be informed in advance by mail or telephone to the applicant, as required.
