Course of the general training plan, in charge of the PDC. It is a 10-credit course.


Course objectives:

(From the student’s point of view)

  1. To evaluate the different elements that make up one’s professional profile, focusing on self-knowledge and well-being for decision making.
  2. Analyze the main characteristics of the current world of work and the labor field of the career or area of interest, also considering the quality of life and welfare of the community and the contribution from the professional role.
  3. Create a career development project that considers various action plans, promotes one’s own well-being and considers the quality of life of the community.

Activities:

In the course, the student will explore skills for self-knowledge and well-being, as well as strategies for decision making in his/her professional project, contemplating various career development plans, the characteristics of the world of work, the main problems of society and the demands of the university-work world transition process; through methodologies such as dialogic exposition of contents, project-based learning, case studies, simulations and mentoring. Learning will be evaluated through a portfolio that will compile personal and group reflection activities, and collaborative work/projects in work groups.
