The Training and Recognition of Co-curricular Activities program seeks to give recognition to the instances in which students participate, which without being strictly academic, provide relevant learning and competencies for a comprehensive and distinctive formation to the profile of the UC graduate.
The Training and Recognition of Co-curricular Activities Program is one of the most challenging projects of the Directorate of Student Affairs (DAE) and since 2022 it has become a reality. It seeks to acknowledge and thank the students who participate in programs and projects that, without being strictly academic, provide relevant learning and competencies for a comprehensive and distinctive professional profile. Therefore, student participation in these co-curricular initiatives is being formally recognized by the university.
In 2022, almost 20 initiatives received recognition for their commitment and contributions to the UC Community. These include Radio UC, the UC Interfaculty Orchestra and three programs of the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Directorate of Inclusion: Peer Educators in Health (PES), the CARA Tutoring Program and the University Insertion Support Program.
Each year, during May, a call is opened for academic units to apply for those initiatives that, by fulfilling a series of requirements, may be recognized as co-curricular and those students who participate in these programs may also receive such recognition.
