This great massive event, which has been held since 2006, brings together nearly 4 thousand people, including students, professors and UC officials who, together with friends and family, are encouraged to walk around the San Joaquin campus and its surroundings.


UC RUNNING RETURNS TO SAN JOAQUÍN THIS 2023

This 2023 the Running UC returns with everything to the San Joaquin campus. As UC Sports Management we are happy to announce that this year we will be able to carry out this traditional race.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 12 and will start at 9:30 a.m., so it is very important that you arrive early. In addition, there will be a limited number of participants and there will be two circuits, one of 5K and the other of 10K.

This version of the event will be open to the general public, that is, to members of the UC community as well as to outsiders.

Running UC offers free first aid services, dressing rooms, cloakroom, massages, hydration, fruit and parking. In addition, an ambulance will be available for emergencies.

What are the characteristics of the competition?

There are two races, 5K and 10K. The 5K competitors must complete one lap of the course and the 10K competitors must complete two laps. The course was designed only for running inside the university to maintain the safety of the runners.

How do I know if I have a shirt?

People whose general registration number is between 0001 and 1000 are entitled to receive the official Running UC T-shirt. The registration number is indicated in the confirmation message that you will receive in your email inbox, and you can check it in the list of registered participants available on this website.

Can someone else pick up my shirt?

No, the T-shirt must be removed only by the runner during the day of the race.

Can I participate with a T-shirt that is not the official T-shirt of the event?

Yes, you can participate with any shirt that allows you to run comfortably. The runner’s number must be attached to the front of your shirt.

Before running, should I warm up?

Anyway! Warming up before the race prepares your muscles, heart, lungs and mind to perform better during the race.
Starting at 09:00 hrs. There will be a massive warm-up for all runners, conducted by professors of UC Sports. Cheer up and have fun!

Should I drink water during the race?

When you run, you lose fluid. It is important that you recover these while running, otherwise you run the risk of dehydration. There will be a hydration point available along the circuit, as well as a fruit and water stand located next to the finish line.
