{"id":1865,"date":"2024-01-15T15:06:57","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T15:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/skymedia.works\/dae\/bienestar-fisico\/mothers-and-fathers-uc\/"},"modified":"2024-02-19T19:49:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-19T19:49:42","slug":"mothers-and-fathers-uc","status":"publish","type":"bienestar-fisico","link":"https:\/\/asuntosestudiantiles.uc.cl\/en\/bienestar-fisico\/mothers-and-fathers-uc\/","title":{"rendered":"Mothers and Fathers UC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We remind you that:<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All matters related to scholarships and benefits, both information and applications for them, are handled directly with the DASE (Department of Student Socioeconomic Assistance) by writing to dase@uc.cl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have any doubts regarding academic issues, courses and continuity of studies, you should consult directly with your Academic Unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have doubts about the suspension of studies for health reasons, you can review the information in this link and apply for this benefit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All matters related to scholarships and benefits for student mothers and fathers (priority to register for courses via Banner; nursery and kindergarten) should be consulted with the DASE (Department of Socio-Economic Assistance) by mail to dase@uc.cl.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services<\/h2>\n\n<p>We have services available for UC students who are mothers, fathers and\/or caregivers of young children:<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individual counseling<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Counseling with midwife on different parenting topics (pregnancy, respectful childbirth, postpartum, breastfeeding, respectful weaning, respectful parenting, among others)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidance counseling with a social worker and midwife, in case support is required outside the University, guidance on where to consult about scholarships and benefits and other services inside and outside the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Counseling can be online or in person. Orientation counseling is on Mondays at 1:30 p.m., and counseling with a midwife at a time to be coordinated via email.<\/p>\n\n<p>To schedule a counseling appointment, please write to madresypadres@uc.cl.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workshops and group lectures on different subjects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family activities: Mother&#8217;s and Father&#8217;s Day, Children&#8217;s Day, Christmas at UC. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive more information about the dates of these activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nurseries and nursing rooms<\/h2>\n\n<p>There are moving facilities at all UC campuses. Below, we indicate exactly where they are located<\/p>\n\n<p>1. San Joaqu\u00edn Campus: There are 19 moving units. They are located in:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms in the Lassen Classrooms building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rooms E, women&#8217;s restroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>College, universal restroom and men&#8217;s restroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University Hall-floor 2 women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s restrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commercial Engineering Building, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restroom, 1st floor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engineering yard, women&#8217;s restroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>San Agust\u00edn Building, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rooms N, women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s restrooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classrooms Civil Construction Park, 2nd floor, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty of History, Geography and Politics, floor -1, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms. Politics, floor -1 men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Science and Technology Building, 3rd floor, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>2. East Campus: There are 4 mudrooms, in the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms, located in the central courtyard and in the virgin courtyard.<\/p>\n\n<p>3. Casa Central: There are 4 changing rooms in the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms, which are located in two sectors: Juan Pablo II patio (floor 2) and in the Biological Sciences plinth (floor -2).<\/p>\n\n<p>4. Lo Contador: There are 3 doormen. In the universal restroom located in the Architecture building, and in the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s restrooms located in building 310 (former Arts building) in the central courtyard.<\/p>\n\n<p>5. Villarrica Campus: There are 2 moving rooms. One located in the co-ed room, on the 1st floor of the campus building, and others in the women&#8217;s restroom.<\/p>\n\n<p>All campuses have a space for breastfeeding and milk expression.
