The Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile seeks to promote, within the university, the development of students who present excellent athletic conditions. In this way, we want to contribute to their personal development and help them reconcile their academic and sports commitments. For this purpose, there is the Elite Athlete Scholarship, which is assigned annually and consists of the partial exemption of a percentage of the payment of the student’s career fee, as long as the beneficiary complies with the requirements established for its granting.<\/p>\n
– Regular students of any undergraduate program or career of the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile.<\/p>\n
– That present the condition of Pre-Selected or Selected Chilean in the adult, youth or Paralympic categories in any sport discipline that is officially carried out in the UC and sports that are present in the corresponding cycles of Olympic Games, Pan American Games, South American Games and their similes in winter sports and Paralympics.<\/p>\n
– Re-application of athletes assigned in the year 2022 and who are currently selected, should only send the original updated certificate from the original federation, indicating the status of current selected, with this automatically revalidates the pre-assignment of the Elite Scholarship. Remember to maintain a 4.3 PGA grade and not to have fallen in the elimination or grace period the previous semester.<\/p>\n

Approximately 30 scholarships will be available for regular students of the university. Athletes who are awarded the scholarship are eligible for a minimum 25% discount on their annual tuition fees. If the selected player participates in a sport in which the university has a formal sports selection (UC Elite Category), it is mandatory to participate in its official activities. In this case, an additional discount is available. If the applicant participates in the Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Sports Club, he\/she can also access an additional discount, depending on the corresponding sport discipline.<\/p>\n
Students who belong to the first four quintiles of the population and meet all academic and athletic requirements, must prove their situation at the Department of Socioeconomic Assistance (DASE), in order to have access to the highest possible discount.<\/p>\n
The delivery system is that of “scholarship confirmation” at the end of each academic year.
