This course offers a focus on the analysis of executive functions, a key concept in the understanding of complex human behaviors.
Participants in this course will analyze, through readings, discussion and case studies, the construct of executive functions and its importance in learning and self-regulation. The neurobiological foundations of cognitive functioning will be explored and the development of mental operations that promote metacognition, learning and critical thinking will be encouraged.
