Student Health and Wellness has a program called Balanced Eating, whose objective is to promote a balanced, healthy and conscious diet for the body, mind and environment among the UC student population.

The Alimentación Equilibrada program offers nutritional evaluation for UC students and a series of initiatives to promote good habits and prevent diseases associated with poor nutrition.

Nutritional care

The objective of nutritional care is to provide tools to improve students’ eating habits with a holistic health approach and a care model based on motivational interviewing.

It is not focused on weight loss, muscle gain or reduction of fat mass, but on achieving healthy, conscious, balanced, varied and complete eating habits.

It will begin with a 50-minute diagnostic session followed by three 30-minute check-ups. In the first diagnostic session, a clinical, social and dietary history will be taken. Then an anthropometric evaluation will be carried out, considering the measurement of body weight, percentage of fat and muscle mass, as well as height and waist circumference. Finally, the nutritional diagnosis will be indicated and a detailed dietary guideline and food education will be provided.
