Student leadership is promoted by different areas in the UC. The general objective is "to implement a program for the development of competencies proper to the integral formation proposed in the educational project and the Impronta UC, which allows the identification and training of leaders generated by the different instances of university participation".

The objective of the Student Leadership programs and workshops is to generate instances of training and meetings that provide tools to improve the management of leaders and the promotion of networks; capturing and enhancing the good practices that are developed in the different UC units, through which students develop their skills and leadership, and strengthening leadership and instances of university participation aligned with the Educational Project and UC Development Plan.

In this context, meetings, programs and training opportunities are held to promote student participation and leadership. Some of them are:

  • Student Representative Summit.
  • Conference of Academic Counselors.
  • Representative meetings with UC authorities.
  • Novice Dialogue Day.
  • Meeting of UC Volunteers.
  • Sending Ceremony, for winter volunteers.
  • Seminars on various topics.

Likewise, social and representative leaders can apply for competitive funds offered by the Directorate of Student Affairs, in different thematic lines, whose details can be reviewed in the Competitive Funds section.
