In order to promote physical activity and the use of sustainable means of transportation, during the year the UC Sports Department, in conjunction with the Sustainability Department, organizes two massive bike rides in which members of the entire UC Community participate.

INTERCAMPUS BIKE RIDE

The event is aimed at students, faculty and staff of our university, who are challenged to travel on two wheels the route that connects the San Joaquin campus and Campus Oriente, and vice versa. To warm up, there are entertaining dance activities and, upon returning to the San Joaquin campus, there are entertaining activities and contests. Each year more than 200 people participate in this activity.

The only requirement is to have the motivation, because even if you don’t have a bike, you can apply for a loan at the time of registration.

LO CONTADOR BIKE RIDE

The first version was held in 2015 and brings together dozens of students and teachers, mainly from the Lo Contador campus, who walk the route that connects the Providencia campus with the San Cristobal hill, until they reach the top and share pleasant moments.

Registration is free and, if the person does not have a bicycle, he/she can request a loaner at the time of registration.
