The purpose of the Student Mothers and Fathers Support Program is to offer community spaces and professional services with a focus on the promotion of maternal/faternal and child health in the university context.
We remind you that:
- All matters related to scholarships and benefits, both information and applications for them, are handled directly with the DASE (Department of Student Socioeconomic Assistance) by writing to dase@uc.cl.
- If you have any doubts regarding academic issues, courses and continuity of studies, you should consult directly with your Academic Unit.
- If you have doubts about the suspension of studies for health reasons, you can review the information in this link and apply for this benefit.
- All matters related to scholarships and benefits for student mothers and fathers (priority to register for courses via Banner; nursery and kindergarten) should be consulted with the DASE (Department of Socio-Economic Assistance) by mail to dase@uc.cl.
Services
We have services available for UC students who are mothers, fathers and/or caregivers of young children:
Individual counseling
- Counseling with midwife on different parenting topics (pregnancy, respectful childbirth, postpartum, breastfeeding, respectful weaning, respectful parenting, among others)
- Guidance counseling with a social worker and midwife, in case support is required outside the University, guidance on where to consult about scholarships and benefits and other services inside and outside the University.
Counseling can be online or in person. Orientation counseling is on Mondays at 1:30 p.m., and counseling with a midwife at a time to be coordinated via email.

Nurseries and nursing rooms
There are moving facilities at all UC campuses. Below, we indicate exactly where they are located
1. San Joaquín Campus: There are 19 moving units. They are located in:
- Men’s and women’s restrooms in the Lassen Classrooms building
- Rooms E, women’s restroom
- College, universal restroom and men’s restroom.
- University Hall-floor 2 women’s and men’s restrooms.
- Commercial Engineering Building, men’s and women’s restroom, 1st floor
- Engineering yard, women’s restroom.
- San Agustín Building, men’s and women’s restrooms.
- Rooms N, women’s and men’s restrooms
- Classrooms Civil Construction Park, 2nd floor, men’s and women’s restrooms.
- Faculty of History, Geography and Politics, floor -1, men’s and women’s restrooms. Politics, floor -1 men’s and women’s restrooms.
- Science and Technology Building, 3rd floor, men’s and women’s restrooms.
2. East Campus: There are 4 mudrooms, in the men’s and women’s restrooms, located in the central courtyard and in the virgin courtyard.
3. Casa Central: There are 4 changing rooms in the men’s and women’s restrooms, which are located in two sectors: Juan Pablo II patio (floor 2) and in the Biological Sciences plinth (floor -2).
4. Lo Contador: There are 3 doormen. In the universal restroom located in the Architecture building, and in the men’s and women’s restrooms located in building 310 (former Arts building) in the central courtyard.
5. Villarrica Campus: There are 2 moving rooms. One located in the co-ed room, on the 1st floor of the campus building, and others in the women’s restroom.
All campuses have a space for breastfeeding and milk expression. For the location and protocol for use of each room, write to madresypadres@uc.cl.
