The mission of the Penta UC Program is to develop knowledge to stimulate and promote the manifestation of talents in children and young people, particularly those whose immediate environment does not provide sufficient or quality opportunities to cultivate their potential in order to contribute to inclusion and educational quality. In this sense, UC Sports contributes to the formation and integral development of the students of the Program with the Penta sports courses, through sports practice, recreational and physical activity, the promotion of pro-social behaviors and the acquisition of healthy life habits.


OBJECTIVES OF THE SPORTS COURSES:

  1. To integrate the knowledge of the different work methods and systems, which allow to acquire the habit of an active and healthy life through corporal expression and movement.
  2. To develop motor skills in relation to the different physical qualities (endurance, strength and flexibility) in a constant, progressive manner and to integrate the different motor skills related to health and well-being.
  3. Generate instances of social and emotional expression and participation that allow students to integrate well with their peers.
  4. To integrate the knowledge of the different work methods and systems, which allow to acquire the habit of an active and healthy life through movement, sports practice and self-management.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:

1ST YEAR MIDDLE SCHOOL (3RD AND 4TH GRADE)

NAME: PHYSICAL EXERCISE AND SPORTS: IMPROVING YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Course outline:

“Improving your quality of life through exercise” is a course specially designed for high school students who wish to discover the benefits of physical exercise and sport in their lives. Taught by experts in the field, this course offers a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge and practical skills that can be applied both at school and in everyday life. You will also be able to self-manage your own physical exercise routines oriented to sports practice. If you want to participate in this academic experience you must be motivated to achieve your goals.

COURSE 2 MEDIA (1° AND 2° MEDIO)

NAME: BODY EXPRESSION AND MOVEMENT: IMPROVING YOUR SOCIAL SKILLS AND QUALITY OF LIFE.

Course outline:

The course takes place in a playful and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and discovery. The teacher will guide students on their journey, encouraging them to express themselves freely through movement and to discover new forms of non-verbal communication. Teamwork, trust and mutual respect will also be promoted, creating a supportive environment where each student can develop his or her own abilities through collaborative work and interaction with peers.

GRADE 1 BASIC (7TH AND 8TH GRADE)

NAME: PHYSICAL EXERCISE AND INITIATION TO SPORTS: DEVELOPING YOUR SPORTS SKILLS.

“Physical Exercise and Initiation to Sports: Developing your sports skills” is an exciting course designed specifically for elementary school students who wish to enter the world of physical exercise and sports. This unique course offers a valuable opportunity to learn fundamental sports skills, improve physical fitness and discover the pleasure of physical activity from an early age by combining theoretical and practical activities that will further develop your sporting and social skills. To participate in this course you need motivation and effort to achieve your goals.

GRADE 2 BASIC (6TH GRADE)

NAME: MOTOR SKILLS AND BODY EXPRESSION: IMPROVING YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH MOVEMENT.

Course outline:

“Motricity and Body Expression: Improving your quality of life through movement” is an innovative course designed especially for elementary school students who wish to discover the power of movement and body expression in their lives. This educational experience offers a valuable opportunity to explore the body, develop motor skills and get excited about creativity through movement.
